Hi! My name is Alice and I have a passion for all things creative.
At 'A' level I study Drama, Fashion & Textiles and Media Studies, which together give me a broad understanding of storytelling, costume, image and performance. My favourite genre is horror: films like Osgood Perkins’ Longlegs have inspired my own work, particularly its unsettling wide angles, low exposure and precise cutting. I love exploring how a single shot can shift an audience’s emotions.
For one of my projects, my classmates and I created a horror trailer, and I took on the roles of director, camera operator and actor, and I think the process helped me to develop my skills in cinematography, editing software and narrative construction. As a Drama student, LAMDA distinction holder and leader of an after-school drama club, I’m fascinated by the relationship between actor, camera and audience.
Beyond the classroom, I have worked backstage on school musicals, volunteered with disabled children, and held part-time jobs that demand organisation and calm under pressure.
Working on professional sets has cemented my ambition to study Film and TV Production. As an extra on Danny Boyle’s mini-series Pistols and the film Masters of the Air, I saw how directors, actors and crews collaborate to build authentic, emotionally resonant worlds.
These experiences have all strengthened my leadership, communication and time management—qualities I’d be super excited to use on film and TV sets in the future.
